ALGUMAS DISCUSSÕES SOBRE AABORDAGEM ECONÔMICA DO TERRITÓRIO NA GEOGRAFIA E SUAS IMPLICAÇÕES NO ESPAÇO RURAL

摘要

The paper aims at dealing with territory notions from economicalapproaches, usually used in Geography. Many times, territoryconcepts that limit it to a physical base, superficial, of theeconomical processses that produce space, are predominantin studies about the spacial transformations and spaceproduction. This way, Geography adopts conceptualinterpretations from natives of other fields of knowledge, fromdifferent forms of thinking and methods. Territory andterritoriality escape this way from an ample reading of thespace. In the case of the rural space, being greatly defined foreconomical elements, it has in its territoriality the presence ofactions headed to the regional development. Evaluating aneffective construction of the territory, constituted by theeconomical logic and its socio-cultural political implicationsabout the rural space, is mainly important.
